美聯社報導，由300名議員組成的國會以251票通過這項動議，但與希臘總理齊普拉斯（Alexis Tsipras）屬同一政黨的激進左派聯盟（Syriza）部分議員表示「出席」，但沒有投贊成票。此舉視為棄權，代表他們對自己黨的路線持異議。
法新社報導，這份提案內容包括，退休金改革、加稅和民營化，與上個月債權人提出的方案類似。
